Institute - South Kolkata Nrityangan

South Kolkata Nrityangan, a dance institution was established in November 2005. The premiere dance school teaches Bharatnatyam, an Indian classical dance form. The main focus of our institution is to enhance interest in and promote Bharatnatyam, one of the oldest and graceful classical dance forms, among our students and to give them a proper platform for their future, as well as to spread our rich Indian culture in the National & international arena.

South Kolkata Nrityangan offers an equal opportunity to all age groups. The students’ age vary from 4 year old blooming buds to older, married women.

Our institution has students from myriad backgrounds. We offer poor children, even those who belong to the slums, an opportunity to learn the art of dance and make dancing their profession. South Kolkata Nrityangan is also associated with an orphanage named “Refugee”. Nrityangan has grown from strength to strength over the years and has performed in many national and international arenas. Time and again we have been invited to perform at programmmes and conferences of many corporate organisations and noteworthy institutions. South Kolkata Nrityangan has come a long way in the last 9 years; its students unite to perform on an Annual Day function every year.In its 8th year, Nrityangan would like to present a memorable event as part of its Annual Day celebrations. The large scale event would require great infrastructure and funding. As we are not in a position to fund the event envisaged, we humbly request you to kindly contribute to the event by way of donation. South Kolkata Nrityangan would remain eternally grateful to the company if it offers some sponsorship which would help us to realise our dreams.
